When the Weather is Fine

Goodnight Notes 🌙

Hello from the chapter of my life where I've turned a bit more inward.

In a world where you can't survive unless you're an extrovert, I realized I was drifting further and further away from the true voice of my heart. I had become just like everyone else. I was blending into the crowds, joining the conversations they liked, and acting as if I were one of them. Of course, this didn't last very long; at some point, my body started sounding the alarm. I was paying the price for ignoring my feelings and trying to keep up with the fast pace of things.

Then, I took some steps. I remembered my old habits—my passion for writing, my passion for reading. The digital world had trapped me inside it just like everyone else. The endless scrolling and numbing myself with TV shows had to come to an end. I drastically reduced the time I spent watching series and decided to be more selective; I realized that the content I was consuming just because it was popular was actually harming my soul. I set time limits on my social media apps. I bought myself a fountain pen and, for the past four months, I've started writing again.

Suddenly, everything started to become clear. Making my feelings and thoughts tangible through writing helped me become much more self-aware. It allowed me to see my dark sides, and I am more than happy about this. If you don't check in with your heart every now and then, you get lost in the flow. And this is our first and only life—it's too precious and short to be spent at random.

I got the inspiration to start this blog from the series When the Weather is Fine. I want to share the moments I look inward here as well. Maybe this way, my social media usage will decrease even more. Maybe when I finish the series, I'll write my review of it here, too. By the way, having a good night is more important than we think, just as they mentioned in the show. That's why the name of my blog, inspired by it, is good night notes :)

Let's eat good food, read beautiful books, meet wonderful people, say lovely things, and have good nights :) In a world where badness is so blatant, let's multiply the beauty :) I think everyone can start by turning back to look at their own heart :)

See you next time, and good night in advance :)! March 6, 2026, Nevşehir IMG_20260601_112253
